Known as “Myrtle Beach’s Fantastic Four,” Barefoot Resort & Golf was built to provide a distinguished golf vacation unlike any other golf resort on the East Coast. Located in the low country of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, golfers will experience four unique and challenging courses designed by golf’s most inspired architects. Whether you are an average golfer or a golfer that likes to test your skills, Barefoot Resort & Golf has a course for you.
Norman Course
Designed by one of the game’s greatest, Greg Norman, this stunning golf course incorporates lush vegetation, large complex greens, and narrow fairways. With a Southwestern feel, this par 72 stretches just over 7,200 yards and promises to pose a challenge for even the most experienced golfer.
In addition, the Norman Course features no angular or artificial lines and is encompassed by formal rough. The bunkers are faced with bright white sand and sod walls, challenging even the game’s best short games. The Norman Course has been honored by both Golf Digest and Golfstyles Carolinas.
Love Course
A Carolina native, Davis Love III designed this par 72, 7,000-yard gem that has been featured by Golf Digest as the No. 1 golf course in Myrtle Beach. This scenic course offers wide-open fairways, expansive landing areas, and large greens. One of the standout features of the Love Course is holes 3 through 7, which boast the re-created ruins of a former plantation home in the area.
While the Love Course is ideal for the above-average player, any golfer can surely enjoy and appreciate the course’s stunning views.
Fazio Course
Designed by famed golf course architect Tom Fazio, this European-inspired course features classic low-country elements, such as live trees, native grasses, and other lush vegetation. The Fazio Course was designed to skip the clubhouse and incorporate the extensive tree cover, lakes, and other pieces of the natural landscape.
The Fazio Course also includes a number of natural elevation changes and features a hybrid turf designed by Greg Norman, making this one of Golf Digest’s “100 Greatest Public Golf Courses” in America.
Dye Course
Famed golf course architect Pete Dye designed this award-winning golf course, which was named the “Myrtle Beach Course of the Year” in 2013. At just over 7,300 yards, this par 72 features plenty of pitfalls and traps for a thoroughly challenging experience.
Located along the Carolina Bays, guests of the Barefoot Resort will enjoy the sparkling white sands and natural grasses that line the links-style course. The Dye Course is the only semi-private facility at the Barefoot Resort and has been featured in some of the finest golf publications, including Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.
