With seemingly endless miles of pristine, clear water beaches, fine dining and a bustling nightlife, it’s no wonder Miami has become the place to be. Adding to this list is Trump National Doral, located just minutes away from the most beautiful beaches in the country.
Impeccable amenities ranging from tennis courts to a world-class spa compliment the 5 championship golf courses. These courses, including the world famous Blue Monster are why Trump National Doral is considered one of the best resorts in the country.
This world renowned club has five courses to choose from: Blue Monster, Great White, Gold Course, Red Course and the Silver Course.
Blue Monster
Possibly one of the most famous courses in golf, the Blue Monster has been recently redesigned by Donald Trump himself along with Gil Hanse, making it even more challenging than before. This course is home to the Cadillac Championship and has hosted the PGA tour for the past 45 consecutive years.
The Blue Monster is a 7,608 yard course that features numerous water hazards, deep bunkers, and thick Bermuda rough.
Without a doubt, Blue Monster’s most famous hole is the 18th. It consistently ranked as one of the Top 100 Holes in the World by GOLF Magazine.
Great White
Rated “best new golf course” by the National Golf Foundation, the Great White is unique to say the least. It’s the only course in the Southeastern United States that uses coquina, or crushed shells, as the main design material of every hole.
Designed by Greg Norman, the course is 7,171 yards with a par of 72. It is not overwhelmingly challenging, however, water comes into play on 14 out of the 18 holes, putting a premium on accuracy.
Gold Course
Recently redesigned by Raymond Floyd, the Gold Course offers all golfers an opportunity to play at their own level and pace. Thanks to its recent rebuild, the course showcases 18 holes surrounded by picturesque water, bunkering and contoured greens. Worth noting is the challenging 18th hole with an island green. One of the courses finest achievements was hosting the 1999 PGA Qualifying School Finals.
Red Course
Offering a perfect opportunity for a fair test at golf is the Red Course. Unique to this course is the ability to force players to use skills, experience and strategy to navigate the difficult but fair design. Also unique to the Red Course are the island greens, which can be found at No. 6 and No. 14.
Silver Course
The Silver Course may be one of the toughest courses in golf due to its three starting holes and the 13th through 15th. Players are challenged with a series of par 3s right from the start and then have to face “The Bermuda Triangle” holes.
