The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail has been labeled the “The best public golf on earth” and arguably the best golf destination package in the United States. The RTJ Golf Trail was developed in the late 1980’s as a way for the state of Alabama to diversify assets of the state pension fund. David Bronner, CEO of Retirement Systems of Alabama, developed a vision to build the largest collection of public golf courses in the state.
