PGA TOUR, Omaha Productions and ShipSticks have teamed up to bring fans Alter Ego, a new unscripted comedy series starring Wyndham Clark and Max Homa. As Variety shared in its announcement of the series, Alter Ego takes professional golfers out of their familiar competitive environment and gives fans a different look at the personalities behind the players.
Across two episodes, Wyndham and Max undergo full transformations before stepping onto the course alongside unsuspecting golfers. The disguises may be convincing, but hiding their knowledge of the game, competitive instincts and personalities proves considerably harder.
Episode One: Wyndham Clark Becomes Rex Tanner
In the first episode, Wyndham Clark disappears behind the mustache, wardrobe and wonderfully questionable teaching methods of Rex Tanner.
Posing as an unconventional golf instructor, Rex works with unsuspecting players and offers a coaching experience unlike anything they signed up for. Wyndham fully commits to the character, creating a mix of awkward introductions, unexpected advice and genuinely funny interactions as everyone tries to figure out exactly what Rex is all about.
As the episode unfolds, the clues begin to surface. When Wyndham finally reveals the professional golfer behind the character, an already memorable round becomes a story the group will be telling for years.
Episode Two: Max Homa Takes on a New Identity
The transformation continues in episode two as Max Homa steps into a character of his own. Max brings the sharp humor and natural personality fans know him for, all while attempting to keep his real identity hidden from the golfers around him. The result is an episode packed with comedy, authentic reactions and the growing suspicion that this mysterious stranger might know a little too much about professional golf.
Max may look completely different, but keeping his personality under wraps is another challenge entirely.
