Big Break

One of the most beloved shows in golf television history is finally coming back, and it’s must-watch TV for anyone who loves the game.

After more than a decade off the air, Big Break returns to Golf Channel this month for its 24th season, reimagined as Big Break x Good Good presented by Golf Galaxy. For longtime fans, it’s a nostalgic homecoming. For newer golfers, it’s a first look at the show that put golf reality TV on the map.

Throughout the show, aspiring pros are thrown into high-stakes skills challenges, week after week, until one golfer is left standing. Over 23 seasons from 2003 to 2015, Big Break became a Golf Channel institution and a genuine star-maker—future PGA Tour winners like Tony Finau, Wesley Bryan, and Matt Every all got early camera time on the show before making it big.

Now it’s back, and this time it’s teaming up with Good Good Golf, the YouTube giant that’s redefined golf entertainment for a whole new generation. It’s a rare crossover between the show that invented golf reality TV and the crew that reinvented it online.

The show’s 12 competitors are battling it out at the stunning Horseshoe Bay Resort in the Texas Hill Country, about 45 minutes outside Austin, for a life-changing prize: a sponsor exemption into the PGA Tour’s brand-new Good Good Championship this November.

The season brings back the challenges longtime fans love—including the legendary “Glass Break” and “Flop Wall”—plus a genuinely eclectic cast, from Good Good’s own Sean Walsh and Matt Meneghetti to a World Long Driver, a former PGA Tour caddie, and the world’s No. 1 disabled golfer. Blair O’Neal and Wells Adams host, with Good Good’s Matt Scharff reporting from the course and Good Good stars Brad Dalke and Bubbie Broders serving as non-playing team captains.

We’re big fans of Big Break here at ShipSticks, so we’re thrilled to be part of the show’s return this season. Keep an eye out for us during the Elimination Challenge each week, where one player will get ShipSticked home.
