Finally, we can get back to our \u201cnormal\u201d routine of tuning in every weekend to watch the best players in golf tee it up. No longer will sports fanatics take the freedom to watch their favorites on TV for granted. And with that being said, our weekends filled with live PGA golf are almost here, starting with the Charles Schwab Challenge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All eyes were glued to the TV screen during the <\/span>TaylorMade Driving Relief<\/span><\/a>, which featured the esteemed Seminole Golf Club in the first televised golf event since the pandemic. Golf fans were gifted another glimmer of hope a week later when Medalist Golf Club played host to a second star-studded event, <\/span>The Match: Champions for Charity<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Background on the Charles Schwab Challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s safe to say that these two historic events proved to not only the golf world but rather the entire sports community that live sports can press on in even the most challenging of times. More importantly, tournament-style golf can not only adapt but thrive.<\/p>\n

The Match and the TaylorMade charity events were just a small appetizer leading up to this week\u2019s first official PGA golf tournament since the Tour suspended play.<\/p>\n

Despite who may or may not be in attendance (fans or fan favorite, Tiger Woods), this week\u2019s golf event is still a great reminder of the immense power and love of sports that unite us.<\/p>\n

The NBA announced that they\u2019ll be back to play out the rest of their season in Orlando, Florida. But for basketball fans, this won\u2019t occur until July 31st. We have so much to be thankful for in the world of golf, especially considering the sport is one of the safest to play.<\/p>\n

So in just a few days, let\u2019s join together and watch as our favorite PGA players tee-off in Fort Worth Texas at Colonial Country Club. The 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge will always be remembered as the restart of the PGA TOUR season and the first professional golf event to be played since COVID-19.
